NerdBall Sports Media is the pet project of two UCSB data science students borne out of pandemic boredom. We are looking for an outlet for all our thoughts on sports, from in-depth analytical pieces, to random shitpost memes, to rambling podcasts. We believe numbers don't have to take the life out of sports. Jason Dormann
Jason is a co-founder of NerdBall and a Junior at UC Santa Barbara, and has also interned at a top sports marketing agency. His two passions are sports and stand-up comedy, and he hopes to infuse his posts with both humor and deep dives into the statistics and business of sports. He is a huge Bay Area sports fan, and he hates the Dodgers with a passion. This is him eating sunflower seeds in his college dorm in January cause he was "ready for baseball season".
Brett Goldman
Brett is the other co-founder of NerdBall and a Junior at UC Santa Barbara. He is also a broadcaster for KCSB Sports Radio. He is known amongst his friends for his philosophical late night shower thoughts. Brett loves all things Lakers and Rams, yet somehow manages to put up with Jason’s Bay Area bias. This is him all dressed up to do his best Mike Breen impression at a UCSB basketball game.
